(All those hitpoints are great, but I always struggle to heal manticore riders. (The shock groopers also get Guard Breaker, which is great, but so do Orc Manticores.) And the shock troopers get all that at half the price.
And if you have a Crystal Tree to upgrade their armour, those extra hitpoints the manticore gets aren't as impressive. Manticores sure hit hard, and their mobility is great, but upgraded Shock Troopers with killing momentum, fear strike, tireless and physical resistance (from racial governance) sure give them a run for their money when it comes to killing power and crowd control. My dreadnought juggernauts are awesome, but they don't have the range of a cannon (great in sieges) nor the crowd-control ability of a flame tank, and without engineers they lack firepower.Īs people have said, they're not great value for money either.
Tier 4 units may have raw power, but they lack specialisation.
